  • HOW TO PREPARE FOR A TATTOO APPOINTMENT

    • Make sure you’re well rested. It helps your body recover quicker. You may also be more sensitive to pain if you’re sleep deprived.

    • Stay hydrated. Hydrated skin accepts ink better. Try to drink at least half a gallon of water within 24 hours of your appointment.

    • Eat a full meal. If you don’t, you may become light headed during your session.

    • Do not shave or exfoliate the area. Generally, the fresher the shave the better. This reduces the razor burn, irritation or stubble affecting the tattooing process.

    • Do not consume alcohol. It is a temporary blood thinner and could lead to excessive bleeding, making your tattoo appear faded.

    • Do not take any painkillers or antibiotics. (including Tylenol & Advil) they are also temporary blood thinners.

    WHAT TO BRING

    • Distractions! (ex: headphones, e-readers, downloaded content, handheld electronics.)

    • Any comfort items. (small blanket or pillow)

    • Sugary snacks or drinks.

    • Plenty of water.

    WHAT TO WEAR

Comfy and loose-fitting clothes are recommended. It’s also best to wear black/dark clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.

    • FOR ARM TATTOOS: a baggy t-shirt, or tank top that easily exposes the area.

    • FOR LEG TATTOOS: a change of shorts, skirt or dress that can be moved easily.

    • FOR RIB TATTOOS: baggy t-shirt or crop top that will allow comfortable access to area.

    • FOR STERNUM TATTOOS: a zip up hoodie or flannel that can be opened to expose the center of the chest.

    • FOR BACK TATTOOS: zip up hoodie or flannel that can be worn backwards

    • FOR HIP TATTOOS: a baggy change of shorts, skirt or dress.

  • NUMBING CREAM

    • If you plan to use numbing cream, please let me know in advance! I’ll likely have to re-estimate the the cost of the tattoo.

    • Please note: numbing cream can greatly affect the healed results of a tattoo. (excessive fading or inconsistencies)

    • The appointment may end prematurely, due the numbing cream wearing off before that tattoo can be properly finished.
